Aam Aadmi Party leader and candidate of Amethi Kumar Vishwas says," Congress vice president Rahul gandhi will lose in the general election 2014 in Amethi constituency.

Amethi constituency , is a largely rural area nearly 150 km from lucknow the people of Amethi has elected lok sabha members of the Gandhi family since 1990. Rahul Gandhi in 2004 and 2009. They also elected Rahul's mother and congress president sonia gandhi, father Rajiv gandhi and uncle sanjay gandhi .

Rahul Gandhi : 1984 , 1989 , 2004 , 2009

Sonia Gandhi : 1999

Sanjay Gandhi : 1980

Gandhi family loyalist satish sharma was elected in 1991 and 1996

AAP candidate started his campaign even before the Lok sabha election date was announced and he said that, he often walked on Amethi's roads and spent the night in different villages. I will go from home to home and sleep in villages who had once mocked the congress leader for eating and sleeping in Dalit home for the benefit of TV cameras. I go to villages and stay at night wherever it gets dark and the next morning i start for another village. The route is chalked out by people of the villages and also i talk to the people in their local language Awadhi and this helps me to interact with the village peoples.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is Amethi worst performer in RTE norms educational standards at grassroots level in his constituency Amethi are the worst in Uttar pradesh only 1 % schools in amethi comply with the Right to Education Act lowest in the state, reveals a study conducted by RTE forum. The RTE forum says that whild the RTE Act mandates that all teachers in the country are to be trained by 2015 , there are still 6.6 lakh untrained teachers in the country, while five lakh teaching posts are vacant. Up alone needs 3 lakh teachers.

Although the gandhi family has represented Amethi in lok sabha for decades but poverty was widespread in the sprawling constituency and Amethi lagged behind in economic development. The main opponents to the congress are the Aam Admi Party and Bharathiya Janatha party.
